We built BestPharmaTools to make pharmaceutical QC easier — not to collect your data. Here is exactly what we do (and don't do) when you use this site.
BestPharmaTools.com is a free online platform providing pharmaceutical quality control (QC) calculators for laboratory professionals, regulatory analysts, and students worldwide. The platform is co-founded by a pharmaceutical QC expert and a web developer, and is operated independently.
If you need to reach us about privacy matters, the contact details are at the bottom of this page.
We want to be direct here because privacy policies are often unnecessarily confusing.
Like essentially every website, our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as your IP address (anonymised where possible), browser type, and pages viewed. This is used solely for security and uptime monitoring — not for identifying individual users or building profiles.
This is a deliberate design choice. Pharmaceutical laboratory data is often confidential and subject to regulatory restrictions. We built BestPharmaTools so you can use it without worrying about your data leaving your organisation's control.
Some tools store in-progress calculation data in your browser's local storage so it persists if you refresh the page. This never leaves your browser and is not tracking in the traditional sense.
We use Google Analytics, which places cookies to help us understand how many people visit, which calculators are most used, and how users navigate the site. This helps us prioritise improvements. Data is aggregated and anonymised — we see statistics about groups, not individuals.
BestPharmaTools displays advertisements to keep the platform free. Ad networks including Google AdSense use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing activity across the web. These are third-party cookies — not set by us. You can opt out via Google's Ad Settings.
All major browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Blocking certain cookies may limit non-essential features, but all calculators will continue to work. See allaboutcookies.org for instructions.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregated, anonymous usage information — which pages are most visited, approximate geographic region, device type, and session duration. We use this to improve the site. We do not use Analytics to identify individuals.
IP anonymisation is enabled. You can opt out across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy for more.
To sustain the platform and keep all tools free, we display advertisements via Google AdSense and potentially other approved ad networks. We do not share your pharmaceutical calculation data with advertisers — because, as stated above, we never have it.
BestPharmaTools does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. The only data going to third parties is the anonymised analytics and standard ad-serving signals described above.
Ads or content may link to external websites. Once you leave our site, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of any personal data we hold. Since we collect virtually none, there is little to act on — but the right is yours. For third-party analytics and advertising data, contact Google directly as the data controller for those services.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale. BestPharmaTools does not sell personal information.
Regardless of where you are located, we aim to respect your privacy. Any concerns — contact us directly.
BestPharmaTools is designed for pharmaceutical professionals, researchers, and students — typically adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will address it immediately.
Since we collect almost no personal data, the risk surface is small. We also take the following precautions:
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features or integrate new services. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. We recommend checking this page periodically if you are a regular user.
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, we genuinely want to hear from you. We aim to respond to all privacy-related enquiries within 5 business days.
